Tropical bespoke colour change for the perfect Spanish wedding location

Kerri O'Brien

Here at Francis + Louise, you can work with me in a number of ways to create a range of beautiful and bespoke accessories to make your wedding truly personal to you. As well as a bespoke design service where I can create a unique print incorporating your memories and special moments, I can also adapt and change one of my house prints to suit your wedding colour scheme perfectly. This is just what it did for Adam and Jessica’s fabulous wedding in Spain.

I had the pleasure of meeting Adam at Walthamstow Wedding Fair. He was looking for a really cool pattern for him and his groomsmen and loved my best-selling Tokoriki print, named after the island in Fiji where I went on my honeymoon and where the flowers drawn on the print came from.

My original hand-painted print wasn’t in quite the right colours for their big day, so I worked with Adam to change the colour scheme. The wedding vibe was lux boho with planned splashes of orange on the stationery and table glasses to represent the famous oranges from Seville.

Finial accessories - bow ties and braces

Mood board

I created a mood board based on the elements of their wedding already selected, and we decided the key shades to compliment the groomsmen and bridesmaid outfits were blues, orange and peach. I then had the bespoke print made in to braces and pointed self-tie bow ties. The accessories perfectly matched Adam’s peach jacket and complimented the venue and the Spanish sunshine so well.

WOW!! I cant get enough of this video showing what a stunning wedding it was. The Andalucían venue so perfectly fitted the relaxed tropical vibe. Adam and Jessica created a personalised ceremony, tailor-made cocktails and a 4-course meal which celebrated a fusion of cultures and their guests clearly had a wonderful time celebrating their ten year relationship and the future ahead.

Sustainability is really important to me and as always, the accessories and gifts I created for Adam and Jessica were designed to have a lifespan long beyond the wedding day as they can be worn again and again. This was particularly reflected in the headband I made in the same print for Jessica to help them celebrate their one year wedding anniversary.

I digitally print all my fabrics, only printing what I need, and I use every last bit of fabric so there is zero waste in my production process. I use natural and recycled fabric and print using eco inks. All the accessories were presented in recycled gift boxes.

Thank you so much Adam and Jessica for choosing me to be part of your very special day. I love the print you chose and it was a pleasure working with you.

If you’d like to commission me to produce a bespoke design which is truly unique to you for your special day, or would like to adapt one of my existing prints in a way that suits you, just get in touch for a chat today. I’d love to hear from you.
